Venting
Dryer Vent Cleaning, Repair & Installation in Springdale
Lint hides past the trap, deep in the vent line. We clean the whole run, fix what is crushed or disconnected, and install new systems built to move air.
Chapter 01
Where the lint actually hides
Emptying the lint trap catches the easy part. The rest of the lint travels down the vent line and settles in bends, joints and the exterior termination, where it narrows the path the air has to take. A buildup as small as half an inch can cut airflow dramatically, and the dryer works harder to do the same job.
The signs are familiar. Clothes take longer to dry, the dryer runs hot, there is a burning smell, lint collects around the vent opening, and the utility bill creeps up. Lint is fuel, so a restricted vent is a fire risk, and with a gas dryer a blocked line can also push carbon monoxide back toward the house.

Cleaning the whole line, then fixing what's wrong
Top Hat cleans the entire vent line with professional equipment, from the dryer connection all the way to the exterior termination point. Cleaning only the first few feet leaves the worst of the lint where it was, so we don't stop early. The point of the job is clear airflow end to end.
While we're in the line, we evaluate the system. Crushed or damaged ducts, loose or disconnected joints, improper termination and poor routing all restrict airflow, and each one gets corrected rather than noted and left. Code compliant vent termination is part of every repair.
For new or poorly planned runs, we install new dryer vent systems, reroute inefficient paths, and fit properly sized and sealed ductwork with code compliant termination and an exterior vent cap. Modern floor plans often put the dryer a long way from an outside wall, and long runs are exactly where lint piles up if the design is wrong.
Chapter 03
Keeping the run clear
Routine cleaning is cheap compared with a replaced dryer or a vent fire. How often depends on how much laundry your household does and how long and complicated the run is. Longer, more complex runs in newer layouts need more frequent attention than a short straight shot through an exterior wall.
