Roofing

Metal roofing and metal buildings built for Ozark weather

Standing seam, exposed fastener and low slope commercial metal roofs, plus steel garages, carports and shelters, installed and repaired out of our Springdale shop.

Chapter 01

Where a metal roof actually fails

Metal is a long-lived roof, but it does not fail the way shingles do. Panels rarely wear out across the field. The trouble starts at the details: fasteners that back out as the metal heats, cools and moves, panel edges that corrode where water sits, and flashing that was never lapped right around a vent or curb.

Low slope commercial roofs add one more weak point. Seams carry the whole load of keeping water out, and a seam that opens a sixteenth of an inch will let a lot of Northwest Arkansas rain into a building before anyone sees a stain on the ceiling.

If your metal roof is dripping, rusting at the edges or humming in the wind, call the Springdale shop at (479) 751-0432. We look at the fasteners, the seams and the penetrations first, because that is where the leak almost always lives.

The systems we install and repair

Top Hat installs standing seam metal roofing, where the fasteners are hidden beneath the panel seams. We also install exposed fastener systems, which suit many barns, shops and outbuildings, along with structural metal panels and low slope commercial metal roofing for flat and near flat buildings.

Every system is only as tight as its flashing and penetration sealing, so that work gets the same attention as the panels. We repair metal roof leaks, and we handle commercial metal roof restoration and coatings when a sound roof just needs its surface renewed instead of replaced.

Our commercial roofing work carries Duro-Last certification. We work across Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, and the crews that run these jobs are based in the same Springdale shop that has served the area since 1983.

Chapter 03

Metal buildings, from carports to farm shelters

Roofing is only half of what steel can do. We install metal buildings, including Eagle Carport style structures, for homes, farms and light commercial properties. Common builds are garages, carports, workshops, equipment storage, RV covers and agricultural shelters.

Pick an open air carport or a fully enclosed steel garage and size it to the property. Metal buildings hold up well in wind and storms, ask very little in upkeep, and they go up faster than most conventional construction.

Tell us what the building has to protect, whether that is a truck, a tractor or a table saw, and we will walk the site, talk through sizing and layout, and explain what the installation involves before any work starts.

A metal roof is only as good as the water management around it. Matching seamless gutters carry the runoff away from the foundation, and new siding finishes the wall where the roof edge lands. If you are not sure whether to repair or replace what you have, start with roof repair and replacement.
